
The Kremlin and Red Square are the religious and political center of Russia. This site was proposed by the former Soviet Union in 1986. Yuri Dolgoruky (fnudados Boscov's), gives orders to the start of construction in 1156, for additional protection, built a moat around it. In 1339, they built the first walls and towers of the Kremlin. In 1367 Dmitry Donskoi rebuild the Kremlin in limestone, which gave Moscow the name of the white city. The Kremlin was almost as large as the present. During the rule of Ivan III in 1495, they built the walls and existing towers and many churches and palaces. Ivan III orders also build a plaza in front of the Kremlin, now called Red Square, to avoid the enemies if they could approach the fort without being seen. In the seventeenth century the towers were decorated with the existing cupolas. Built between the fourteenth and seventeenth centuries, is the seat of Russian government and residence of the President of the Russian Federation. The Kremlin has twenty towers, each of which bears his name:
the towers of the Senate,
St. Nicholas,
Arsenal's Corner,
Arsenal on the Trinity,
Commander, Armory,
Borovitskaya, Water,
Annunciation,
Secret,
two towers unnamed Beklemishev ,
St. Constantine and St. Helena,
Alarm,
and finally the Tower of the Czar.
In front of the Tower of the Trinity,
outside the Kremlin, is still the Tower Kutafya.
